Kevin Lynch, PE
Kevin brings nearly ten years of experience working with architects, building owners, and project teams on building, fire protection, life safety, and accessibility requirements. His work spans new construction, renovations, and ongoing existing building operations, with an emphasis on collaborative support from early planning and design through permitting and construction.
Before founding Lynch Code Consulting, P.C., Kevin spent more than nine years with Code Red Consultants where he led complex projects across multiple jurisdictions, coordinated with design teams, owners, general contractors, authorities having jurisdiction, and state boards, and provided technical guidance. Kevin’s experience includes higher education, pre-K–12 education, assembly, office, residential, athletics, parking, retail, industrial, healthcare, laboratory, high-rise, and mixed-use facilities. He particularly enjoys the challenges presented by existing buildings, where scoping provisions and existing building codes can create a more complex path to compliance. His approach focuses on preserving the defining characteristics of existing buildings while advancing project goals and meeting applicable codes and standards.
Kevin is a licensed Professional Fire Protection Engineer in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. He earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, while completing his collegiate football career. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, backcountry skiing, competing in triathlons and marathons, playing golf, traveling, and hiking with his dog, Gus.
